I've done a pretty good job keeping up with Alida's Growing Up QAL, found over at Alida Tweloq Designs. This month's block is another great design!
Isn't it a beauty? Can't you just see four of these making up an awesome center for a QOV quilt, either pointing in,
or my favorite, bursting out.
Give you any inspiration? Hop on over to her place if you're interested in making this block or any of the others she's created!
Now that this block is done, it's time to get back to the two scrap quilts. Hope to work on them today - it's just been incredibly hot here, and I'm trying not to turn on the iron. With no AC, the motivation to do anything is pretty low. Will keep you posted!
Have a great day quilting!
Susan, It really is a delightful block. It would work perfectly with QOV. --Andrea
ReplyDeleteThat IS a beautiful block. I love the second setting for it.
ReplyDeleteI agree, that second layout is fantastic! No AC! Oh No! Think cool! ;)
ReplyDeleteYou have had great posts this week. Thanks for all the inspiration. Love this block in the bursting out layout. Hope you have found a way to stay cool, no AC at my house. I have been using my ironing spray bottle to spray myself.
ReplyDeleteit is amazing how different a block can look when bits are moved or added
ReplyDeleteWhat inspiration!
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific block.
ReplyDeleteYour block looks fantastic!! It's inspiring to see the different effects that all our color choice makes on the overall look of the block. Seeing the same block in different layout is a great idea! I may show "one block quilts" in my next QAL :) Thanks for being part of the QAL (side note: the Spangled Star Quilt I made following your QAL has been on my couch, well used and loved for quite a while!!)
