Who's ready for cookies and Christmas? Tis the season for both!
The Virtual Cookie Exchange and Christmas hop, in its sixth year, is hosted by Carol of Just Let Me Quilt. I just love participating the hops that both she and Carla of Creatin In the Sticks host - they are always fun, with lots to see!
I think this is my first time participating in the cookie exchange, mainly because I don't make many cookies anymore. But, I do have a favorite Sugar Cookie recipe from my MIL, which is always a favorite with hubby.
Though a bit deadly in the ingredients list, these cookies melt in your mouth - it's hard to stop at just one. Believe me - I know. Hubby can't stop snacking on them!
Sugar Cookies
If Santa hasn't filled his sweet tooth enough with the cookies, he might enjoy the Peppermint Candy table runner. This one is calorie free!
I think Santa would be very satisfied by my decorations. If you're just joining in on the hop, be sure to visit the others for cookies and more Christmas inspiration.

ReplyDeleteOh, those cookies. My mom used to make those! I can taste them, melting in my mouth! You have so many fun holiday quilts!
ReplyDeleteYour decorations will bring Joy to Santa's heart for sure. And the cookies will make his belly happy too. Have a very Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI've been crazy for gnomes this year, so your sweet runner has my heart...love it! You are just amazing with all the things you create. Those trees are just the cutest, as are the reindeer and pinwheels. Sugar cookies that would melt in my mouth sound like a perfect recipe...yum! Thank you for sharing and joining in the fun, Susan! xo
ReplyDeleteBeautiful decorations, and we always love sugar cookies! Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteOh, I surely love a good sugar cookie! Thanks for your recipe. Your Christmas quilts are all wonderful, but I have a preference for the reindeer. =)
ReplyDeleteLol i think we shared the same cookie recipe. Love all your runners.
ReplyDeleteYour featuring so many great patterns. Love the Christmas trees and the Christmas fabrics are perfect. The Reindeer Wreath is sweet, too; the cock-eyed way you positioned the reindeer blocks has so much personality. Sugar cookies are definitely a part of the season.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Christmas projects! I’m sure Santa will enjoy seeing these beauties. Thank you for the sugar cookie recipe. Looks like a good one
ReplyDeleteEvery single one of your projects are wonderful! Love them all, but that little Gnome for the holidays certainly strikes my fancy! And the cookies sound amazing too.

ReplyDeleteThe cookies sound delicious!!! And, I LOVE all of your great table runners and wall hanging!
ReplyDeleteHappy quilting! :-)
Sugar cookies are a favourite around here too. Our local bulk food store sells something this year called 'fairy dust' which is a new type of sprinkle that looks SO pretty either on top of cookies or whipped cream gracing the top of a cup of hot chocolate.
ReplyDeleteHi Susan! Thanks so much for the sugar cookie recipe. It's an interesting mix of ingredients - margarine and vegetable oil. I will have to give it a try. I'm always on the hunt for the "best" sugar cookie recipe, and I have plenty of family to pass judgment for me! ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteYour quilting projects always inspire and make me smile. Such a warm and pretty Chistmas house you must have. Santa will certainly be happy.
ReplyDeleteWe love sugar cookies too. Thanks for the recipe to try. I really love your curvy Christmas trees table runner. I love them all but I think that's my favorite! Reminds me of paisleys!! Thanks for joining us this year!!
