Welcome to Midweek Makers - let's do some sharing! For me, that means more green with these March RSC blocks.
I used some of the scraps left from Lucky Clover, and this time, instead of keeping to a consistent 2.5" black square, I went with random sizes. Trying to add some interest to these RSC blocks, as the same scrappy style is getting boring. But it comes down to the scraps sizes and shapes that I have to work with, and if this style uses up some little scraps, so be it.
Moving away from squares, there were several quilt projects with points that caught my eye this week, and they happened to be displayed on the same row of the linky party - how often does that happen?
From Rebecca Grace Quilting, these octagons for a kaleidoscope quilt,
from Karen's Quilts, etc, these star blocks,
and from The Academic Quilter, a beautiful Cactus Star.
Your green blocks look lovely. The little lady bugs in them are really cute.
ReplyDeleteI like your random black centers. Nice touch.
ReplyDeleteGreat way to use those precious tiny pieces that I just cannot throw out! Also fell into the links - always a fun trip around the world! Thanks
ReplyDeleteWow that cactus star is amazing! Thank you for sharing
ReplyDeletethis week has flown - thanks for the feature. Love the other quilts you show
ReplyDeleteI saw your post about Lucky Clover and LOVED IT! You are such a creative designer. My favorite though were your chocolate dipped strawberries. I will definitely make them some time although when my hard drive crashed, I may have lost the pattern. I'll just have to go get it again.
ReplyDeleteMari's Cactus Star is so beautiful. I'll have to check out your Lucky Clover post.
