Welcome to Midweek Makers where it's all about sharing!
I was so hoping to have my pink scrap quilt finished by now but work on the other house has upended that idea. I did find a few hours to work on the border this week, figuring out sizing and quantities. That was important since I don't have much of the background fabric left and bigger pink scraps are skimpy too. So, here's where I'm at.
Oh such slow progress! For someone who used to spend all day creating, sewing, and quilting, this is a crawl. But there's good news on the yard cleanup: the surface ivy roots are almost all gone! This week we're getting an excavator to dig up the big, deep roots, plus some tree stumps. We're getting there!
Now let's see some pretties from last week.
Quiltpiecer is also working on RSC2022 blocks, sharing a variety of pretty pink ones (putting me to shame!)
My Bijou Life has some bright and bold snails trail blocks to share,
and Quilting Gail shared twin quilts made from an Island Batik bundle - when you're done partying here, head over to her post for a chance to win some fabric!
Now it's time for this week's party!
- please link directly to your post
- please link a quilt related item
- visit with the others and leave some comment love!
Have fun!
Oh, that piece with the pinks and the center heart is so pretty, Susan. Tree roots cause us lots of problems here on our trails. Always doing some trimming and it isn't easy to remove them. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteHi Susan, I really like your pink scrappy quilt. Do you feel like one of your ancestors when you're clearing the land? At least we now have access to things like excavators! Good luck.
ReplyDeleteI’m sure it must feel like you’ll never get back to sewing again. You’ll soon be rewarded for all of your hard work. The pinks are looking pretty. It’s always fun to see what others are working on. Thanks for sharing with us.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the feature, Susan! Your pink scrap quilt is looking so good. I understand your frustration about not getting any quilting done. We are having most the interior of our house painted. It will be so worth it, but I miss my time being my own.
ReplyDeleteYour pink quilt is looking so scrappy good! Pretty soon the roots will just be a memory and you'll be on to many more quilts! Hang in there!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the feature! I know it feels like a crawl when one does not spend as much time quilting but you seem to be accomplishing a lot in the yard cleanup. I was in these same shoes last year and was so glad to get it done. It's all good!
