Welcome to Midweek Makers!
I got a bit carried away after letting go of the 'no straight seams top to bottom' rule I set for myself, completely engaged with sewing and forgetting how long to make this piece. Now I need to go back to my quilt idea to figure out if I want it longer than I originally designed, then find the best place to cut the block. Geez, who would have thought sewing scraps together could get so complicated!

Instead of dwelling on my very uninspiring scrap block, let's look at some lovely shares from last week's party:
this blue and white log cabin top from Viridian's blog,
a first finish for 2024 from the Quilt Patio,
and an adorable birdhouse for a challenge finish from Not Afraid of Color.

I think that's the most fun part of scrappy sewing - getting carried away and not being able to stop! You've got me really curious about what this will turn into!
ReplyDeleteI can't remember right off hand what they call it when you put your scraps together like that, but I had fun with the one quilt I made that way.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun project with your scraps!
