Midweek Makers #446

Welcome to Midweek Makers!

July is coming to a close, which means it's the last time to share an aqua scrap block for RSC2024. Since I don't need any more teal/aqua scrap storage blocks, I found some HST's to make into a few broken dishes blocks, plus some flying geese to make some other, uhm, interesting blocks.

Whether those blocks will go into the broken dishes scrap quilt has still to be decided. In the meantime, I'll set myself to stitching some orange blocks for August, as that's the color coming next - go see for yourself at So Scrappy.

Summer means camping and enjoying the outdoors. So this week I'm featuring nature, specifically creatures. From Patchouli Moon Studios, an Alaska salmon mini quilt,

from That Fabric Feeling, a cute undersea quilt,

and from Quilting and Learning, some stitching around an applique butterfly.

What do you have to share this week? Join the party!

  1. It will be fun to see your rainbow of broken dishes blocks in a quilt someday! The other blocks definitely make an interesting shape, too. Happy Wednesday!

  2. Your aqua blocks are so pretty, Susan! Tell me, who runs the Rainbow Scrap Challenge and where can I find the details? I’ve been on the sidelines of that one for a long time, but I finally found a project that I think would be perfect for RSC and I want to start in August (or as soon as my pattern and templates show up in my mailbox!).

  3. After weeks with a bad sewing machine, I have done some new pincushions lately. Nice to be here again.
