Midweek Makers #448

Welcome to Midweek Makers!

I'm still stitching orange scraps together for my Scrap Storage quilt, though this time I went to both ends of the value range. From hardly a hint of orange, also known as cream,

to the opposite end, brown.

Personally, I think the cream block is boring, but as we all know, cream is a workhorse in the quilting world. Definitely cannot be ignored!

Features this week are some fabulous minis - those little quilts that are just for fun! Take a look at the Feet of Goddess Lakshmi from Sew Preeti Quilts,

the beautiful landscape of Enjoying Alaska from Quilting and Learning,

and from Quilting Gail, a very festive turkey for Thanksgiving.

  1. Thank you Susan, for featuring my mini quilt. Sharing a quilt today that may come across as provocative to some people. Please delete if you find it offensive.
Cream doesn't have to be dull, if the background is cherry or cheddar :-)

  2. Your cream and brown scraps are just as pretty as all the other colors! They'll find a place in this fun quilt that you're creating. Have a great Wednesday, Susan!

  3. All of the features you chose are amazing! I agree, beige is boring. But when I tried to make a quilt out of all non-boring colors, I quickly learned we need those neutrals to make the bright fabrics pop.

  4. Now that's interesting, including cream and brown as "extreme outer range" of orange! That will only make for more interest and variety in your quilt!
